The VOD I'm looking for is missing
Unfortunately not every VOD was saved. The VOD downloading project started in April 2024. Everything before then was recovered from YouTube. There are several gaps but there are still over 1000 VODs available
This VOD doesn't have a date on it
The VOD saving script was improved a few times, each version included more and more metadata about the stream. Unforunately this means that the VODs have a varying level of metadata associated with them. Hopefully additional important metadata can be reverse engineered but it will take time.
How does the semantic search work?
The search uses vector embeddings to find the most relevant transcript segments across all available VODs. You can search for specific terms or phrases, and the system will return the most pertinent results. The embedding model is not perfect but it does a good job of capturing the semantic meaning of the text so you can search for concepts rather than just keywords.
Why does it include text that Bradley didn't say?
The VOD audio was transcribed directly into text, which will also include any other speech present e.g. video game dialog or other participants.
Sometimes I get duplicate results for my search
Aggregating the VODs from different sources led to some overlap, these duplicates will be removed over time.
The VOD I'm watching cuts off around 12 hours in
Unfortunately our very smart streamer often forgot to restart his stream in the era when he multistreamed to YouTube (despite Horse telling him to). This means YouTube VODs are a maximum of 12 hours.
Can I download this specific VOD? I want to make an edit
All VODs are hosted on YouTube and can be downloaded using tools like yt-dlp
